....a monster barge passes Chiswick Quay on an April evening carrying the last Concorde - ensconced inside without wings or tail - on its way from Heathrow to the sea. Travelling at slightly less than Mach 2, it's on a journey to its new home at the Museum of Flight in Scotland.
As the barge went under the bridge it went toot toot-toot toot toot, toot toot, very slowly, on its stunningly loud, deep horn as a greeting to the spectators on the bridge. None of them fell in the river with the shock....
